Research Activities
Dr. Deri Draper-Amason’s research is grounded in solving real-world challenges at the intersection of performance improvement, digital transformation, and workforce readiness. At Old Dominion University’s Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center (VMASC) and the Virginia Digital Maritime Center (VDMC), she leads applied research focused on the digitization of maturity model frameworks to help organizations assess and improve their operational capabilities in alignment with Industry 4.0. Her work integrates data analytics, systems thinking, and human-centered design to develop scalable tools that support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement. Through close collaboration with government, industry, and academic partners, her research delivers actionable insights and frameworks that enable organizations to navigate complexity, adopt emerging technologies, and enhance performance across their digital ecosystems.
